Hi my name is Joy Cook I have 30 years of experience in the residential care facility business. I bought my first facility when I was 19 and fresh out of nursing school. I have owned and Operated Pleasant Valley Residential Care since 1985 a facility licensed for 9 geriatric residents. I then took over administration of Joyce's Orchard residential care from my mom that has 12 beds for developmentally disabled in 2001 and built Serenity Place Residential care for 16 elderly in 2009, which just recently opened in June.
Each facility has a facility manager and lots of great staff. Each resident is given personal and inividual care in a home environment. Small home environment is important for the residents and so is personalized care, we pride ourselves in providing this level of care to promote health and wellness. We take a personal approach to each of our residents needs since everyone is different and requires multiple levels of care.
I come from a long line of caregivers. My grandma, mom, daughter and my myself work within the facilities. We do it all, we offer house keeping, laundry, meals, assistance with activities of daily living, activities, medication oversight, transportation to and from appts. and a little thing I like to call TLC.
